Choosing a car seat can be overwhelming for any parent. Which car seat is the right seat? How do you know your baby is safe? Will you be able to install and use it correctly? Here's how to make the perfect choice—keeping safety, fit and comfort in mind.

1. Choose from one of 5 types of seats

• BRITAX® ALL IN ONE CAR SEATS LIKE THE ONE4LIFE COLLECTION COMING THIS SPRING Fit children from birth to 120 pounds (54.4 kgs) to convert from rear to forward-facing, and allow your child to stay rear-facing longer, and transition from a harnessed seat to a belt-positioning booster as your toddler grows.

• BRITAX INFANT CAR SEATS Fit children from birth to 35 pounds (15.9 kgs), are rear-facing only, and offer the convenience of transporting sleeping baby from car to stroller and back again.

• BRITAX CONVERTIBLE CAR SEATS Fit children from birth to 65 pounds (29.4 kgs), convert from rear to forward-facing, and allow your child to stay rear-facing longer.

• BRITAX HARNESS-2-BOOSTER CAR SEATS Fit children from 25 pounds (11.3 kgs) to upwards of 120 pounds(49.8 kgs) depending on the model, and transition from a harnessed seat to a belt-positioning booster as your toddler grows. Britax recommends booster mode only after the child outgrows harness mode.

• BRITAX BELT-POSITIONING BOOSTER SEATS Fit children from 40 (18 kgs) to 120 pounds(54.5 kgs), boosting them to the proper position, so the vehicle seat belt can do its job. Britax recommends booster mode only after the child outgrows harness mode.

2. Select your seat
